Shipments in Nexus are the same shipments in your Fishbowl database. Any shipment packed or shipped here is updated in Fishbowl right away.
The Shipments module is where users will pack and ship items that have been picked. A shipment is created when a pick is finished.
The Shipments module can be found under the “Sales” section on the home page or in the sidebar.
When users open the module, they will see a list of shipments.
Users can search by ship number or order number, or filter by status.
Shipment Statuses #
- Entered: the items are picked and waiting to be packed.
- Packed: the items are packed into cartons and ready to ship.
- Shipped: the shipment has left the building.
Shipping an Order #
Once a shipment is selected, users will see the cartons on the shipment. Each carton shows its description, quantity, unit of measure, weight and tracking number.
Users can add or remove cartons if the items need to be split up.
Next, enter the weight for each carton and mark the shipment as Packed.
Once the shipment is ready to go, add the tracking number and mark the shipment as Shipped.
- When everything on the sales order has shipped, the sales order will change to Fulfilled.
Using the Assistant #
Users can also ask the assistant to track down shipments, for example:
- “Where is SO 10127 and when does it ship?”
- “Which orders shipped yesterday?”
- “Show me shipments that are packed but not shipped yet.”
The assistant only shows data the user already has access to in Fishbowl
